As a Business Development Manager, you will look to strengthen Fowler Welch's position as a market leading 3rd Party Logistics provider to the FMCG sector. With new leadership in the business and a recent acquisition significantly increasing their ambient capacity, Fowler Welch require an autonomous team player to deliver the following;
• Contribute to the development of business growth plans in the ambient division • Identify and implement opportunities to develop both new and existing customer relationships in the pursuit of greater revenue and profit • Maintain relationships with external industry contacts • Keep up to date with developments in the logistics and food industries and make recommendations for how the Company should respond/act • Assist the Business Development Director in planning business activities to maximise financial performance • Prepare business proposals in conjunction with the Business Development Director • Represent the Company in contract negotiations and associated meetings
Who we're looking for
To be eligible for this position, you MUST have recent and upto date knowledge of winning ambient logistics contracts.
In addition to this you should have; • Stable track record in the logistics/transport industry • Demonstrable experience of preparation and presentation of commercial tenders • Ability and willingness to travel nationally in the role, as required.
