You will be responsible for managing complex interior automotive components delivered to a number of large OEM's. You will be responsible for ensuring the programme is delivered on time & to budget, meeting all customer requirements but also generating an acceptable profit for the business. You will be required to motivate and lead cross functional teams and will be a natural influencer. A team player, you will be self motivated and expected to work hard while also appreciating the importance of enjoying your job. You will lead & facilitate all project activities from cradle to grave, including new product development, process development, layouts, design buy-off, specification, quotations, and final commissioning among others.You will lead customer & supplier liaison and negotiation on task issues, and continue to develop strong customer relationships.Ensure adherence to robust program management process throughout all stages of the program, to ensure customer gateways are met.Liaison with manufacturing departments to ensure satisfactory project handover on completion
Who we're looking for
• Experience of managing complex programmes within a 1st tier automotive manufacturer • Experience managing Jaguar Land Rover programmes • Experience within automotive interior manufacturing; leather experience a significant advantage • Ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external customers on program, engineering and commercial issues. • A sound understanding of lean manufacturing techniques • Highly motivated and able to define and meet programme deliverables by motivating the team
