Strategic Insight Analyst - Accountabilities
• Responsible for conducting the data analysis part of strategic projects and will be expected to contribute to the development of the strategic thinking.
• Both this role & the existing Strategic Insights Analyst will support and report into the two Strategic Insights Managers. This role will involve assisting the managers with data manipulation and analysis to enable insight and strategic recommendations.
• The Strategic Insights team look at different ways of driving sales and profit across the business, using marketing levers such as pricing, promotions and ranging.
• Projects may be focused at category level or at store level or at business level.
• All projects aim to gain a new understanding of how the business is currently performing to enable improvements to be recommended.
• This involves manipulating and understanding large amounts of data to be able to accurately diagnose issues.
• This will include understanding variations in behaviour.
• Participate in developing strategic thinking.

The requirements for the role of Strategic Insight Analyst include:
• Highly analytical and numerate.
• Educated to degree standard.
• Able to communicate effectively with other areas of the organisation.
• Self-managing, capable of planning and prioritising a broad and extensive range of activities.
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring data is summarised in a logical and informative manner, appropriate to the given audience.
• Ability to prioritise demands.
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
