Looking for a passionate Content Category Manager to be responsible for the strategic planning of creative, customer focused content and lead a team of content editors at a very successful online retail business in the north west. Content Management • To plan the creation of specialist bespoke copy for a range of product descriptions, landing pages and banners. • Communicate business expectations clearly to your team, supporting and developing where necessary to achieve our goals • Plan and schedule creating new pages and uploading them on to the CMS. Once on there it is your responsibility to push them live. • Pro-actively manage and engage your team, building enthusiasm and individual development plans. Copy Writing • Follow site guidelines and devise best practices. • Inspire interesting and unique copy writing, using the appropriate tone, yet still basing it upon sales copy • Enriching the visitor journey to enable an informed purchase decision. • Proof read and moderate content editor's copy • Create content that draws on the use of different content mediums such as UGC, photos, video's, blogs and podcasts CMS • Responsibility of moderating and publishing copy through our content management system. • Measure impact of our landing pages, using analytics and evaluation to provide a best practice framework. • To work alongside graphic designers to create robust content objectives that the team can follow.
Who we're looking for
SKILLS REQUIRED Experience of leading a team; delegating tasks and managing workload of others • Strong online marketing disciplines • Commercial acumen - understanding of the dynamics of ecommerce • Strong communication and relationship building skills. • Hard working and ambitious. • Good web analytics skills • A genuine passion for copy and the use of creative language • Interest in IT - web development/blogs/SEO • Degree in English Language / Marketing or a relevant qualification
