The role is an exciting Senior Buyer/Head of Buying position within a young fashion etailer. To be responsible for replenishment, mark-down, sales phasing, stock-turn, rate of sale, margin, range planning, the buying cycle and trends based in the South West. Control and operate all aspects of the fashion and lifestyle buying and administration department to maximise the growth, return on investment and profitability.
• The ability to build supplier relations. Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimum product, prices and terms of contract.
• Manage the OTB and keep close to sales to ensure repeats are placed to maximise profit.
• Manage promotions and mark-down activity.
.• Work with merchandiser and FD to set, monitor and adjust to market forces the seasonal and in season budgets to meet growth and profitability targets agreed with directors.
• Communicate to Suppliers and across internal functions on a regular basis and as required ensuring that information is accurate and timely. Able to address all inventory related queries
• Attend international tradeshows and buying functions.
• In conjunction with the buying team, develop the men's and women's sections through brand identification, range planning and grading.
• Review sales, stock and mark down levels and aggressively drive sales with buyers and merchandisers.
• Assist along with the general manager in the staffing and recruitment of the department to meet current and projected workflow.
• Monitor work flow and accuracy.
• Proven management capability, driving performance to achieve high operating standard
• Monitor competitor activity, promotions and comparisons.

Who we're looking for
A Buyer with branded and Ecom experience to be able to lead a team and have great commercial awareness of the fashion industry based in the South West. The following skills and attributes are required
• Degree in retail, fashion, marketing or other related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Significant senior branded buying experience within fashion.
• Strong commercial awareness balanced with a creative flair.
• Excellent purchasing, brand and range planning and negotiating skills along with the ability to work under pressure.
• A strong net worker with a broad range of contacts in the market is essential.
• Proven management capability, driving performance to achieve high operating standards.
• A confident decision maker with the ability to execute your ideas quickly and effectively.
• Willingness to travel and car owner.
