Financial Controller

Aster Group are currently redefining how they work. Due to this change they have engaged our services tohelp them find a forward thinking commercially minded Financial Controller.

This is a highly visible position in the organisation and critical to their continued development and success the role is defined by the following points.

1. To lead one of the finance teams in Aster, ensuring adequate resourcing and skills.

2. Provide financial input to theBusiness Leadership Team, including assessment of strategic plans and producing financial plans based on the business plan, highlighting any issues arising and proposing solutions.

3. Reporting to the Board, both on regular items and ad hoc reports as necessary.

4. Take an active role in the Aster Group Finance Management Team.

5. Promote the financial understanding within the Aster business

6. Represent the Company at both internal and external events, providing written and oral presentations as required.

7. Other general management duties as may be required from time to time.

8. Participate in training as appropriate to maintain your professional expertise and understanding of the role and function of the unit.

9. Contribute to the setting, monitoring and review of own, team and company key business objectives.

Who we're looking for
The right candidate will need to have the following experience and skill set:

1. Qualified Accountant and member of a CCAB body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

2. Staff management and supervisory experience of a Finance team.

3. Board level and committee reporting.

4. Working with the business to guide strategy and planning

5. Building relationships with other parts of the business.

6. Strong team player, used to breaking down and preventing silo thinking

7. Able to motivate, develop and guide individuals

8. Committed to high quality standards, and continuous improvement of service

9 .Knowledge of relevant reporting standards and financial analysis.

What's on offer
£60,000 to £70,000 plus Benefits depending on experience.
