As the main Contractor you will be expected to work closely with other stake holders within the process including the both the FM and the ICT Providers.
The position will be based in the Programme Office of the LEP and reports to the New Projects Director, where you will be expected to work closely with the phase and project managers.
The role is responsible for all commercial matters relating to the development of new projects to contract close and during the handover period to the delivery team.
All the new projects follow the BSF standard model and are D&B schemes with fixed price D&B contracts for each new project and an FM and ICT contract per phase.
Who we're looking for
• Likely to be degree educated with a professional qualification • High quality professional, probably with a QS and construction background with good knowledge of the BSF model and documentation, preferably with experience of working with FM (hard and soft, including benchmarking and market testing procedures) and ICT service provider contracts. • Commercial and project management experience in complex capital projects, including experience of having been actively involved in taking at least one major BSF project to close. • Clearly evident negotiation qualities coupled with the strength of character to withstand considerable pressure that may arise whilst resolving contractual issues. • Outstanding record of success and achievement. Understanding of the BSF/PFI model will clearly be an advantage however, the client will consider people from a LIFTCO or P21 background due to the nature of the contract and the processes involved.
