Bridge Energy is an Oil & Gas exploration and production company that holds production licenses in the UK (North Sea) Continental Shelf and exploration assets on both the UK and Norwegian Continental Shelves.
The successful Principal Geophysicist will be based in Aberdeen and will be responsible for the provision of geophysical support to the Exploration department, including seismic interpretation and the generation and mapping of prospects. You will formulate and execute agreed technical programmes for licence rounds, operated licences and assets, as well as provide geophysical input into new business opportunity evaluations (data rooms and farm-ins). Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following.
• Undertake seismic interpretation of fields and prospects. • Map and depth convert for input into 3D models and volumetric. • Make use of appropriate geophysical technology e.g. AI, attribute volumes etc to aid in reservoir characterisation. • Assist in the tendering and QC process of seismic processing projects. • Prepare relevant parts of well programmes in partnership with drilling and reservoir engineers. • Assist in preparation of licence round applications and appraisal and development programmes.
Who we're looking for
The successful Principal Geophysicist will be based in Aberdeen and must be educated to degree level, ideally MSc, in a Geosciences or related subject. You will have a proven track record in a Geophysics role in the upstream Oil & Gas industry. You must also be able to demonstrate the following.
• Strong background within the oil industry, preferably with a North Sea operator. • Exposure to drilling/well operations (well planning etc.). • Sound working knowledge of Kingdom software. • Self starter with high energy levels. • Good team-worker. • Good communicator. • Independent thinker.
