Reporting to the Head of Tax for UKand Ireland, Nordics and Baltics; you will be required to provide support on ad-hoc advisory matters, including research of technical issues, feasibility studies on potential ideas, queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Employee tax accountabilities include: • Strategic responsibility for ensuring employee tax matters are referred to the UK tax department
• Identification and follow up of potential opportunities for tax claims and savings in the employee taxes area
• To provide guidelines for and review the quarterly information provided by HR on short term business visitors and flag any actions required; to submit the annual information required to HMRC
• To provide guidelines for and collate information from the businesses for the completion and submission of the annual PAYE settlement agreement; to deal with annual renewal of the PSA
• To collate information from the businesses for the completion and submission of the annual taxed award scheme returns; to provide guidance to the businesses in this area as required; to deal with any renewals of relevant schemes
Corporate tax accountabilities include: • To respond to ad hoc queries as appropriate (with support from other team members as required) - both internal and external
• To monitor relevant legislation and technical bulletins and flag areas of potential opportunity for possible follow up
• To monitor adherence of the UK businesses to the relevant transfer pricing policies
• To collate information in order to prepare the annual corporation tax returns of UK companies
Who we're looking for
It's important that the successful candidate has worked in a mixed tax environmentobtaining relevant experience covering both employee and corporate taxes.
A formal qualification (ACA / ACCA / CTA) is required.
