Senior Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
• To update, maintain and stress test the Partnerships Financial Plans (supporting company Finance Directors where this is undertaken locally); ensuring that up to date cash flow information for major projects is reflected in Financial Plans and overall investment exposure can be ascertained at any point in time.
• Develop and maintain the Partnership's principal financial models, including the development appraisal database; ensuring that investment appraisal techniques and targets remain fit for purpose.
• Undertake investment appraisals and monitor the financial performance of major projects, ensuring that action is taken to manage or mitigate for any deviation against plans.
• Liaise with the Treasury function and support company Finance Directors to ensure that funding requirements and structures are developed to meet the needs of the businesses and Partnership, and similarly ensure that business plans and investment proposals are fundable.
• Make relevant regulatory returns and provide additional ad hoc information as requested by the Partnership's regulators.
• Support ad hoc modelling / scenario planning as required, including financial support for mergers and acquisitions.

Who we're looking for
Essential:
• Experience of investment appraisal financial analysis and long range financial planning in a substantial and complex organisation.
• Experience of managing complex financial models whether bespoke or off the shelf.
• A good understanding of capital finance, in particular debt structures.
• Experience of providing expert financial advice on major investment projects.
• Experience, in a senior role, of managing and developing a team in a large finance function.
• Excellent oral and written communications
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable:
• Experience of project management.
• Experience of social housing sector, commercial property development or large regeneration projects.
• Experience of using Oracle Financials or equivalent finance system.
