A challenging and dynamic role, that requires an individual with good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills who is seeking to progress their career to the next level. The opportunity is suitable for a self-starter who is able to quickly build effective networks with senior finance colleagues both within finance and across the business.
Knowledge of the financial services market while not essential will be helpful. This role reports to the Head of Finance. Support the Head of Finance in shaping the development of metrics and analytical tools to effectively assess business performance and drive delivery of strategy Lead and/or support Finance engagement on major strategic initiatives Provide support and advice to the Remuneration Committee on the design of metrics and targets to align incentives with delivery of strategy, and prepare reports on performance against targets Support the Finance Director by leading and/or contributing to Board presentations on the development and execution of the Group's strategy Develop a strong understanding of the key businesses, products and strategies within the Divisions to support senior management in interpreting results in the context of the current operating environment (economic, competitor and regulatory) and assessing the implications for the future Prepare briefings/analysis for the Group FD and/or Director of Group Finance on issues and topics of interest
Who we're looking for
• Excellent analytical skills • Strong report writing skills • Financial acumen and commercial experience (ideally within Financial Services) • A recognised accountancy qualification is desired • Ability to produce high quality work to tight deadlines • Bringing innovation to problem solving • Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with and influence senior finance colleagues across the Group
