Role: Credit Analyst in Corporate Credit Team, reporting to Director or Executive Director
Risk Control (RC) is responsible for the approval of all aspects of credit risk involved in the transactions and relationships that the bank undertakes and works closely with client facing business areas in the execution of their business. RC also has responsibility for the on-going monitoring and credit risk assessment of the bank's customers.
The role is primarily to work on Corporate Credit transactions.Credit analysis experience is required.
Who we're looking for
Produce high quality credit analysis which demonstrates an assessment of the risks involved in all transactions. A concise credit memo is to be produced with clear recommendations for senior RC Management.
• Show the ability to work independently through detailed Due Diligence (DD), identifying key business drivers (KPI's), specific risk issues, reviewing DD question lists, attending presentations and highlighting any information gaps to the business teams.
• Aid with the risk and structural assessment of a wide variety of transactions presented for approval by business marketers and originators. Sound knowledge of financial products and documentation is required.
• Correctly rate all counterparties and assign appropriate LGD's.
• Review legal documentation to ensure that it corresponds with internal approvals and adequately covers all transaction risks.
• Work closely with other business and risk control areas, clearly communicating and promptly responding to information requests and questions.
• Work on a portfolio of corporate counterparties to ensure that all exposures are monitored and any excesses reported. That all limits, static data and internal credit ratings are correct and annual reviews are produced in a timely manner.
• Develop good industry knowledge and ensure all such risks are fully assessed in all credit memos as well as in broader portfolio management.
