Gradus is a market leading business established in 1966 that have evolved from a flooring accessories business, which still remains at the heart of its activities, into a fully fledged contract interior solutions provider.
As Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for leading the full supply chain function, from supplier development, inbound material management, demand planning, material scheduling and driving inventory optimisation, while ensuring excellent service levels.
• Full participation with the senior management team and collaboration with cross divisions
• Monitor the performance with key suppliers and negotiate contracts
• Anticipate & offer solutions to day to day logistical issues with global suppliers to minimise lead time disruption
• Work closely with Finance, Manufacturing and the Commercial team to maximise efficiencies
• Develop ideas to improve Supply Chain processes, increasing efficiencies, reducing inventory levels and costs and improving supplier relationships.
Who we're looking for
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Proven record of managing a supply chain function within a manufacturing environment, ideally with some exposure liaising with far east suppliers
• Ability to develop good working relationships and influence decisions
• Sharp negotiating skills with a proven track record of successful negotiations with suppliers
• Ability to develop good working relationships and influence decisions
• Exceptional communication skills delivered both verbally and in writing
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to delegate ownership whilst maintaining an overview
• Good problem solving and decision making skills which require independent and original thinking
• Ability to focus attention and continually drive to achieve desired outcome
• Demonstrate a good level of commercial understanding
•Proven track record leading strategic organisational change
• Advantageous if you have a good working knowledge of AS400
• An expert using all Excel applications
