Day to Day role of the Commercial Underwriter(s) will be:
Liaising with Panel Brokerages providing quotations across several classes focusing mainly on Commercial Property and Casualty Lines
Act as a Technical point of referral for more junior colleagues
Developing strong working relationships with Panel Brokers
Underwriting Risks at various stages including New Business, Mid Term Adjustments and Renewal
Dealing with Brokers on a Trading Basis (Prior knowledge of the Manchester Market is highly advantageous)
Assisting Management with production of reports
Managing an existing portfolio of renewals consistently and effectively
Developing new relationships with new panel brokers as required

Who we're looking for
Our client are currently looking for Candidates with prior working knowledge within a Trading Driven Commercial Insurer or within a Development Background in a General Insurer
You should be comfortable working within a Trading focused environment with a skill set that includes good Communication, Negotiation, Influencing, Stakeholder Management, Sales and IT skills coupled with working knowledge of Commercial Insurance Classes
