Group Finance Manager

Tarsus Group plc has finance teams in the UK, US, France, Shanghai and Istanbul, that report into the Group finance function. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Group finance team, directly supporting the Group Financial Controller. They will have responsibility for assisting in the preparation of key management reports to a high standard in line with tight reporting deadlines. Key to success in this role is the ability to work with the businesses and influence across the group and various countries to drive improvements in both reporting and results.

Accuracy and the ability to work under pressure and multi-task are key requirements of this position.

Specific responsibilities:

Year end/interim reporting
• Assisting in the Group consolidation under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Assisting in the preparation of the PLC Year End and Interim accounts for publication
• Preparation of the audit files and statutory accounts for the "Head Office" companies under UK GAAP
• Technical analysis and production of Board papers supporting areas of financial reporting judgement

Budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of the Group budget pack and associated analysis
• Production of the monthly Group rolling forecast and associated analysis
• Analysis, review and challenge of forecasts
• Preparation of the budgets and forecasts for the "Head Office" companies

Monthly reporting
• Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts (including narrative) and review of Board reports (forward bookings, yield analysis and sales graphs)
• Analysis and review of results
• Review of the accounting records for the "Head office" companies, primarily the costs relating to Tarsus Group plc and several holding companies.

Internal control
• Drive improvements to internal control culture and help maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
• Undertake internal control visits as part of rotational plan and produce report of findings for Audit Committee

Treasury
• Review of the weekly Group consolidated cash flow report
• Balancing of the Group cash position between the various currencies and accounts to maintain the minimum required level of borrowings

Who we're looking for
• Qualified accountant
• Experience of multi-currency Group consolidations
• Experience in preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP
• Experience of working in an international company
• Knowledge and experience of a computerised consolidation package (ideally Hyperion Enterprise)
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
