This is a new role for a recently qualified ACA Accountant to work as part of the UK Group Tax team based in West Yorkshire. The role will report to the Corporate Tax Manager and be predominantly involved with corporation tax however there will be an expectation to support both the In-house VAT and Employment Tax Managers. No prior tax experience is required, full training will be given including external training for CTA qualification

As In House Assistant Tax Manager, you will:

Assist in the preparation and submitting/filing:

• company tax returns and corporation tax computations for UK group companies
• UK statutory accounts as required for all UK group companies
• quarterly UK tax forecasts, including current tax, deferred tax and proof of tax
• year end corporation tax summaries for reporting purposes and journal adjustments

Assist and support on-going work in:

• advising and monitoring quarterly payments of corporation tax
• obtaining and analysing data for transfer pricing purposes
• assisting and advising on transactions as needed optimising our tax position, including international tax advice
• improving current practices and controls
• looking to further develop the role
• helping other colleagues wherever possible
• working with external auditors, advisors and HMRC

Who we're looking for
You will be from a Top 6 accounting practice or working in a very large commercial environment.
