The Marketing Manager role is a key position within the UK Business Unit (BU) of Sika Industry with responsibility to ensure continued growth and diversification into new industrial sectors where Sika can add value through innovative solutions from an extensive product and service portfolio.
The Industry BU currently operates within established manufacturing sectors and whilst this role will contribute to the onward development of these markets, the successful candidate will focus on and evaluate new market sectors that Sika can develop and diversify into. You will work closely with the BU Manager to develop and manage the strategic plan, implement tactical activities and manage the budget. You will research and provide accurate market and competitor information, producing business cases as to which products/services to launch and which market opportunities to explore. You will work closely with Central Marketing in Switzerland and other European counterparts to share and gain information. You will be responsible for developing and implementing broader marketing activity such as PR, Web communications and Trade Shows to generate inquiries and leads for the sales team.
Who we're looking for
To be considered for this role you must be degree educated, or equivalent, and have proven experience gained in the UK Manufacturing Industry. It is vital that you understand the mechanics and dynamics of these sectors. You will come from a product marketing background and be commercially minded with a track record of successfully identifying market opportunities, developing business cases, and supporting the launch of new products and services.
