The successful candidate will join the Supply Chain Management team and will be responsible for Procurement and Subcontracting activities for various projects within the business. Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties; • Preparing bidder's lists and issuing invitations to tender for products and services to secure bids. • Liaising with other disciplines and ensuring bids are are evaluated according to the SCM processes. • Preparing the SCM Strategy & Procurement plan in co-operation with the project teams. • Evaluate and negotiate bids, and prepare supplier recommendations based on strict criteria. • Lead and co-ordinate the negotiation process with major suppliers during the tender process. • Ensure contract flow downs and statutory requirements are met. • Maintain good co-operation with suppliers and ensure schedulesare met. • Utilise the expediting process to measure, control and report on supplier delivery. • Assist in the pre-qualification of suppliers and maintain the approved vendor list.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate for this position will possess most of, if not all of the following; • A relevant degree in Engineering or Business Management. Extensive may replace the requirement for higher education. • Proficient in stakeholder management and communications. • Strong presentation skills. • Ability to function across all functions and levels of an organisation. • Good influencing and persuasion skills, strong negotiation and contract management skills. • Experience in subcontracting and procurement including experience in contract negotiation. • Cost saving oriented. • Relevant experience in an Oil & Gas environment within the Supply Chain and a good understanding of the technical requirements in the Offshore industry.
