• Proactive management, liaison and point of contact within Finance for specific areas of responsibility, to resolve complex issues impacting the financial systems including associated processing and reporting, without the need to refer upwards. • Review and liaison with Financial Control Managers to resolve issues arising from the financials, making decisions without the need to refer upwards. • Provide support and guidance to Analysts on technical queries / issues • Deliver accurate and timely Management Information for specific business units whilst ensuring all outputs are validated and delivered in accordance with SLAs. • Responsible for the delivery of accurate MI to support the Decision Making process (monthly financial cycles and Budget and Forecast Process). • Provide ongoing analysis of the Business Unit supported to build a base for effective first level review. • Understand business issues and deal with enquiries in a professional manner. • Provide input and support process improvements, ensuring Business As Usual and development activities remain focused on Operating Model. • Assist with ad hoc analysis and project work as they arise.
Who we're looking for
• Finalist or qualified accountant. • Strong technical accounting skills. • Knowledge within a Finance Environment. • Knowledge of working in an analytical role. • Knowledge of working to tight deadlines and prioritising own workload in a highly pressured environment. • Knowledge of working as part of a team, building and maintaining relationships. • Coaching of less experienced staff on technical queries • Sound knowledge and ability to use Core Finance Systems and hierarchies, MI tools and applications e.g. Excel and Access. • Knowledge of Bank's products and structures (desirable)
