Head of Information (Business Intelligence)

Brewing & Hospitality

Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Permanent

Updated March 10, 2012

Greene King is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Information (BI) to support a step-change in information delivery and strategy for growth.

Reporting to the IT Director, responsibilities will include:

• Developing an information strategy: one version of the truth, taking into account all data, sales, finance, people, customers and competitors
• Step-changing the information agenda from pull to push, refocusing on key metrics (balanced warehouse/metrics) to deliver quicker action to increase profit, lower cost and improve customer service
• Developing and improving a model that fully supports the business in strategic decision making and identifies trends
• Moving to consolidate all business intelligence under one department in the future

Who we're looking for
Potential candidates will be highly experienced IT professionals with extensive project management experience and a track record of success in establishing information strategies and promoting continuous improvement.

You will be a strong leader and first rate communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, engage the BI team and galvanise them into an effective function and provide information solutions to the business.

Previous experience within a retail environment would be an advantage although it is not essential for a position that offers excellent future opportunities for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will have a strong enterprise business intelligence experience. Cognos and Netezza (IBM) tools are of particular interest but others will be considered.
