As a Sales Development Manager you will be responsible for managing the franchise businesses in and around the Andover area. You will work with a network of franchisees ensuring they are successful in increasing new customer numbers, retaining existing customers, increasing customer spend and frequency of orders by monitoring, supporting and coaching them in this process.
To succeed in this role it is important that you are dynamic, innovative and driven by sales. However being great at sales is not enough on its own, you will need to have real empathy and sensitivity with our market and have excellent brand awareness. You will be able to inspire franchisees and get them motivated about our product and influence your team to build customer loyalty and interest in the brand and that this is done in a way that delivers results but remains in keeping with our ethics and values.
You will work closely with our marketing team to ensure you keep up to date on what our customers think; what they like and dislike and general buying patterns. You will understand what makes our customers happy and why they buy from us
Who we're looking for
Ideally you will be an Area Manager in a Retail environment as it is critical that your managerial and leadership experience comes from a customer facing, commercial, sales focussed environment. You will have experience of managing a team or franchisees but also be tenacious, up for a challenge, not afraid of hard work and able to bring the best out in your team.
Not only is your management experience important but your personality and approach is key to achieving the results required. You must therefore be able to demonstrate;
. The ability to motivate teams and improve performance . That you are a great communicator, a real people person to ensure you can communicate with anyone no matter what level and that you are able to take your team of franchisees with you . That you are resourceful and always looking for better ways of doing things . Resilience and the ability to carry out tough decisions when needed but be able to apply fair judgement and still be personable at these times.
. You will be confident and credible and able to communicate the company's vision and help the franchisees achieve their full potential.
. Experience of marketing, generating new business leads and attraction of new customers
