SQL DBA

As the SQL DBA you will be responsible for the support for new projects and assist in the management, design, installation and administration of the SQL Server environment (SQL 2003 - 2008). Additionally you will also assist with the day to day management of existing SQL environments.

Who we're looking for
A proven SQL DBA ideally with a MCTS and MCITP qualification and proven experience in a support role that has enabled them to demonstrate:
• Direct responsibility for dealing with MS SQL Server 2003/2005/2008 including T-SQL and DTS stored procedures and SSIS
• To support the SQL Server databases and ensure their performance, high availability, backup, security and upgrades
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL
• Excellent communication skills and customer service approach
• Organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment both as a member of a team and independently
• A broad range of skills to effectively manage a Microsoft server environment.
• Experience of Clustering technologies

Also Experience in the following would be beneficial:

• VMWare
• Microsoft IIS
• Client Server

About our client
A well-known Charity client based in Central London.

What's on offer
A5 month Fixed Term Contract paying £45,000 pro rata salary.
