• Preparation and review of monthly VAT returns, and related account reconciliations
• Preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders
• Tax, regulatory, statistical and internal audit filings and similar
• Direct responsibility for improving VAT accounting processes and controls for a company with a high volume of transactions
• Assist in the administration of the month end close process for the VAT team ensuring that relevant US and EU deadlines are met and looking for ways to improve the process
• Actively participate in cross functional project launches from scoping through to testing and launch

Who we're looking for
• Experience in Italian (and Spanish) VAT compliance ideally
• Degree qualified preferred or demonstrable relevant experience
• CIMA ,ACCA and ACA or similar credentials preferred
• Relevant accounting experience (public/private mix preferred)
• Demonstrated ability participating in milestone driven projects
• A strong desire to exceed expectations
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Solid organisational, project management skills and information technology aptitude
• Previous in-house experience of VAT Accounting preferred.
