Report directlytothe Partners of the Firm on a relatively small number of fairly complex cases, including for a group of Trusts for one of the Firm's most significant clients. There will be some peer review of compliance work on some of the cases.

The role is a mixture of accounts preparation, part bookkeeping in most instances, tax compliance, routine and ad hoc tax planning exercises and Trust administration. The Trust function within the Firm is fully computerised, using Trust Accounts and TrustTax products from CCH. There will also be some spreadsheet summary work for analysis and reporting.

The role also involves preparation of Inheritance Tax Returns for exit and 10 year charges. There is also estate administration and accounting from time to time, including preparation of Inheritance Tax Accounts and Applications for Probate.
The portfolio contains a number of overseas Trusts, made by both UK domiciled and non-UK domiciled individuals, for which we are responsible for keeping income and gains records. We prepare Forms 50(FS) for the Trustees and advise beneficiaries of income and gain amounts attributable to any benefits they receive from the Trusts.

Who we're looking for
Ideally,the candidate should haveexperience in the specialist field of trustsand ideallyhave STEP qualifications. There is plenty of autonomy in the role.
