The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in the planned investment and improvement for Sharpak's packaging manufacturing facility in Bridgwater. This person will be in charge of a 15 multi-skilled engineering team and will be charged with the training and development of the complete engineering department. This will include but not be limited to reactive and planned maintenance, continuous improvement, working with a project manager, training and development and adhering to good manufacturing processes and health and safety.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced engineering manager with proven ability in boosting productivity and motivating a team in a process environment.
Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline this person will be versed in TPM and lean methodologies. A knowledge of food grade packaging or food manufacturing standards such as BRC is advantageous but not essential. We are looking for strong man managers and ideally this person will have worked in a unionised environment.

Sharpak is a leading multi-site manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions for the food industry, their products include modified atmosphere packaging in APET, APET /PE as well as one of the largest ranges of BBQ packs. The site also manufactures ready meals packaging and a wide range of fish packaging in recycled PET/PE laminate.
