In this role you will be reporting to the Global Aviation & Energy Lubricants Performance Manager, supporting the Aviation & Energy Lubricants business in delivery of year-in performance, through the execution of finance accountabilities and processes enabling effective performance management. The main responsibilities for the role are as follows:
Working side by side and supporting the regional sales teams executing the Planning and Performance management process for the regions ensuring the resulting plans and forecasts are robust and accurate.
Monthly Financial and performance reporting of actuals including in-depth analysis around the variances of the underlying performance against the latest forecasts and plan, following through on lines of enquiry and investigation where necessary.
Maintaining the forecasts around cost, volume, revenue, margin and operating contribution and to provide a detailed performance analysis highlighting areas where targets are not being met and interventions are required.
Supporting the Financial Controllers and the Business Service Centre finance team to ensure integrity of the actuals and compliance to controls & accounting policies.
Providing detailed analysis of areas requiring focus including understanding customer & product profitability and presenting the results in a timely manner to the sales teams highlighting insights and interventions required.
Assisting in the improvement of the performance management process ensuring its continuous evolution to support the delivery of the strategy and financial performance aspirations.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant. The successful candidate will preferably have significant relevant commercial and financial experience with some experience covering performance management and planning, financial accounting, reporting & analysis. We would be looking for strong commercial awareness, initiative and business awareness in order to quickly asses areas of intervention. A person with a pro-active nature and strong interpersonal skills is essential.
