As a key member of the business, reporting to the Group Operations Director you will be responsible for all Purchasing activity for all businesses that make up the group. As Head of Procurement you will have responsibility for all operational, tactical and strategic purchasing. In time this position may grow to also include supply chain and logistics management so candidates must have this capability within their grasp and a current understanding of these functions.
Who we're looking for
My client is looking for an ambitious, innovative and highly talented individual who can demonstrate a natural flair and a solid track record in a multi-site manufacturing purchasing environment. With broad supply chain and commercial knowledge, you will see purchasing as a vital business management function. In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate experience of managing key supplier relationships and show how you have further developed those relationships. Whilst you will be a proven purchasing professional the ability to manage and oversee end to end supply chain functions will also be within your capability. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Clear track record of success, especially leading business-critical change projects • Exceptional negotiation ability • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with a complex and diverse stakeholder community - both internally and externally • Persuasive communication and presenting skills • The ability to influence at the highest levels.
