The Category Assistant supports the Category Manager in the management and execution of divisional trading activity.
Ensuring that implementation of category initiatives runs smoothly through defined administration process across functions and with vendors is an integral part of this role.
Through the management of vendor funding, with a close eye on the market behaviour and a clear understanding of category performance the Category Assistant provides the foundation for Category Manager.

Who we're looking for
Knowledge, Skills & Background:

• Preferably educated to degree Level or equivalent, or possessing significant experience in a commercial role.
• Strong process and time management skills.
• Organised approach, with strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
• User of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word and Power point). Confident in use of multiple ERP systems / web and catalogue packages.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
• Understanding of financial measurements and ability to review / build upon sales and margin data analysis
• Strong team player.
