The HR Manager - Retail provides a complete HR expert service to specified Regions.Your key areas include all aspects of improving organisational capability and management of ER issues, lead on succession planning activities within regions, support employer of choice programmes across Operations and provide accurate and timely management information regarding issues in the regions. Responsibilities;
• To provide clear, accurate and timely advice on the use of the disciplinary, grievance and other employee relations policies. • To provide support and advice to the Operations team on effective performance management to maximise regional performance. • To provide guidance and coaching to the Operations team to ensure effective employee relations management that provides consistency across the group, a fair colleague experience and protection of the business. • To lead the management of complex employee relations issues, including complex grievances, appeals and tribunal applications. • To ensure shop practices comply with all legal regulations. • To develop and maintain the succession planning tools to forecast internal and external recruitment needs • Liaise with the Operations team, Learning and Recruitment Managers regarding action plans and gap analysis. • To attend regular Operations Meetings to launch all updates and initiatives on behalf of the HR team.
Who we're looking for
Essential Skills:
• Ideally you will have a proven track record of operating on a regional basis in a multi site role • CIPD qualified (preferable) • Significant HR experience • Excellent understanding of employment law and it's practical implementation in a commercial environment • Emotional resilience to manage highly sensitive situations • Confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders in the business • Good organisation skills • Good use of initiative • Work at pace
