Leading a diverse team including production, procurement, logistics, quality and customer service, the Operations Director will oversee the supply chain operations of the business from receipt of order to delivery of product. Reporting to the MD, they will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, and will be tasked with improving business performance through increased efficiency, enhanced cooperation and wherever appropriate, the utilisation of best practice.
Who we're looking for
A skilled production professional, with a broad knowledge of different engineering technologies - mechanical, electronic, software - and an understanding of how to integrate those technologies effectively in production and assembly operations. Experienced in using lean and six sigma tools. Sophisticated leadership skills will be essential, likewise a good understanding of the entire supply chain and an affinity for dealing with customers. Optimising the performance of this business will require someone with the vision and insight that enables them to build upon a sound platform, identifying and prosecuting opportunities to drive change and performance improvement in the most effective fashion.
