H+H UK Ltd are seeking to recruit a talented Mechanical Engineer for their manufacturing site in Pollington, East Yorkshire. The largest of three manufacturing locations in the UK, Pollingtons' two factories manufacture autoclaved, aerated concrete, commonly referred to as AAC or aircrete, which is used extensively in construction within the domestic, private and social housing sectors.

The Mechanical Engineer is a day position and will report to the Engineering Manager and will lead the mechanical engineering function with responsibility for both maintenance and project engineering and development activities.

The factories are highly automated and the successful candidate will be expected to take technical asset ownership and drive improvement in; health and safety performance, equipment availability, manufacturing processes, cost of manufacture, and energy efficiency through the effective use of continuous improvement techniques and project management.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experiences:
• Educated to degree or HNC/HND with relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience of managing Capital Projects of up to £500k
• Technically competent in maintaining and reviewing standards
• Tangible experience of delivering improvements to plant performance and efficiency using CI techniques
• Experience with large volume steam generation systems, wet and dry material handling, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Converse with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and WCM / TPM techniques would be an advantage.
• Hands on management style with the ability to lead, motivate and develop strong teams
• Able to communicate and build effective relationships at all levels within an organisation
