This professional services organisation provides value adding solutions and services to a wide range of clients. We are looking for a Business Development Consultant who will be exploiting excisting clients and will be developing new business in a meritocratic environment. This global FTSE 150 organisation can offer international opportunities.
The role of Business Development Consultant is demanding and diverse. The role involves:
- using marketing and business knowledge to extend company contacts
- identifying and evaluating clients' needs
- negotiating terms of employment

In particular, typical work activities are likely to include:
- sales canvassing (cold-calling) clients by telephone to establish new contacts and their requirements
- documenting clients' details and requirements in a brief
- negotiating fees relating to work you will undertake for the client
- monitoring successful relationships and projects
- collecting feedback from clients on performance
- maintaining current records and personal statistics for review against performance targets
- acting as a mentor, instructing and training junior consultants
