A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Policy Manage. As the suitable candidate you will:
• provide advice to the business on regulatory requirements, including premium rate regulation;
• develop the organisation's position on a variety of economic regulation and consumer policy issues, often in the context of consultation exercises carried out by Ofcom;
• represent the organisation's interests with the premium rate regulator, PayphonePlus, both in the development of policy and in the context of breaches of its code of practice;
• contribute to major economic regulatory projects (e.g. price control, ongoing Competition Commission inquiry)
• as circumstances require, to provide assistance with other regulatory projects carried out by the team.
Who we're looking for
My client is looking for a candidate with:
• a working knowledge of a regulated industry, either within industry, a consultancy or in the public sector;
• good analytical skills, including the ability to synthesis legal, economic, market, strategic and technical factors in the context of regulatory issues thatthe organisationfaces;
• the ability to present complex issues both in writing and in person, comprehensively, concisely, and appropriately targeted, depending on the audience; and
• to be numerate, flexible and keen to learn and develop skills
The candidate would benefit from:
• an understanding of the legal basis of the relevant powers in the Communications Act
