Finance Manager

Job Purpose: To own and lead the management responsibility of the finance team ensuring the quality delivery of finance function deliverables on a continuously evolving basis.

Reporting into the Head of Finance and based in Uxbridge, Middlesex.

To achieve success, it is critical that the Finance Manager owns the following role accountabilities:-

1. Effectively manages direct reports to ensure the performance, engagement and development of each member of the finance team.

2. Works alongside the Head of Finance to shape & implement the functional strategy to provide a commercially focussed high quality service to the UK management team.

3. Assists the Head of Finance in delivering short and long term plans.

4. Delivers & maintains robust accounting systems & processes to ensure the integrity of day to day accounting.

5. Maintains the integrity of internal and external reporting to align with changing business needs.

6. Enables & empowers management team decision making to steer performance & cost management through establishing insightful & day to day internal management reporting.

7. Acts as a fully engaged partner across Almirall by providing relevant and timely support and collaborating fully with internal stakeholders.

8. Compliance.

Who we're looking for
• Qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualification experience*, ideally at finance manager or controller level.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent with a financial background.
• Knowledge of UK reporting standards & UK tax regulations including IFRS & UK GAAP regulations.
• Demonstrable track record in working within a network of commercial stakeholders.
• Highly commercial individual with a solid financial accounting grounding, applicants with Healthcare or Pharmaceuticals experience would be preferable.
• A track record in maintaining internal and external reporting processes.
• Ability to manage a team effectively within a changing environment.
• Strong Computer literacy.
