To support the implementation of policy and strategy on sexual and reproductive health and rights information and services, focusing on health systems strengthening, health financing, health economics and health services management. Other responsibilities with include:
1. To build capacity of Regional Offices and Member Associations in the development and implementation of strategies to improve universal access to information and services, with emphasis on strengthening health service delivery systems.
2. To support Regional Offices and Member Associations in the development, piloting and capacity building of effective and innovative health financing schemes with the aim of removing financial barriers to services (especially for the poor) and increasing uptake of clinical services. To include marketing strategies at global, regional and country level.
3. To conduct a situation analysis of the charities health service delivery systems and identify key issues e.g. quality, quantity, cost.
4. To position the charity to secure funding for interventions within proposal development.
5. To develop monitoring and evaluation tools / health outcomes measures for use with projects.
6. Work with the Communications team and specialist clinical consultants, to publicise best practices and approaches.
7. To represent the charity at international meetings
8. To build and maintain positive relationships with all members of staff, and contacts within and outside the Federation.
Who we're looking for
The right candidates for this position will be able to demonstrate:
1.Advanced application in health economics, health service financing, management in developing countries. To include the analysis of health service delivery systems, particularly health finance, working in the health sector or international development or a research institution.
2. Proven experience of successfully influencing decision-makers and in strategic public representation
3. Proven experience in the implementation of entire project cycles
4. In-depth operational research and analytical skills to include quantitative analysis.
5.Excellent policy, report and project proposal writing skills. Published author desirable.
6.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Tact and diplomacy. Excellent advocacy skills. Effective training skills.
7.Well developed supervisory skills.
8.Fluent English essential (verbal and written); working knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic desirable.
