As the Policy Executive for this organisation, you will lead manage and deliver specified areas of the policy development work programme. You will also:
- Commission reports and other information,
- Manage effective policy consultation exercises with a broad range of stakeholders,
- Represent the organisation and its policies to a range of stakeholders,
- Work collaboratively with the Quality and Standards Manager, Research Manager and colleagues in a number of other departments to ensure effective deliver of the Unit's objectives,
- Lead manage and be a good role model for team members, sustaining staff motivation in a changing and high profile environment,
- Conduct assessments of the impact of proposed policies.
Who we're looking for
This is a highly sensitive area of work for the organisation and so requires an individual who has experience of workingin ahigh profile environment. You will be able todemonstrate the following ESSENTIAL knowledge, skills and experience to be considered for this role:
- A degree level education, professional qualification or equivalent,
- Solid experience of policy work, ideally in professional education or training and development,
- Knowledge of and/ or aptitude for developing quality assurance measures through learning, development and assessment particularly the assessment of competence and performance,
- A track record of leading managing and delivering projects, ideally project based,
- Experience of leading, managing and co-ordinating project teams and effectively managing performance to secure successful results (ideally in a policy environment),
- Excellent report writing skills and an ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
