The ideal Service Desk Analyst will be a part ofa busy IT team catering to users across UK and Europe. With a focus on providing a prompt and excellent customer services to users, you will have the following duties • Log, categorise and prioritise incidents and service requests within an electronic service management system.
• Providing prompt 1st line support from telephone and email requests to ensure operational problems are resolved as quickly as possible, escalating to 2nd line support where necessary.
• Provide resolution to documented solutions, in a timely manner.
• Keeping users informed of the status of services, incidents and requests.
• Enter all requests correctly into the service management system and helping to keep the service management system up to date.
• To give help and guidance to users of desktop productivity tools including printing in order that they can make maximum use of those products.
• Set up and install IT equipment /peripherals as required.
• To install and maintain software on new or existing hardware
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills • French language skills are highly desirable • Solid experience in a Service Desk role • Excellent customer service ethos • Experience of working in an ITIL environment or a foundation qualification in ITIL • Experience of using Active Directory to create/modify user accounts, change passwords etc • Ability to understand system schematic drawings showing servers, routers and switches. • Experience of working with Windows XP and Windows 7 • Excellent communication skills
