This is a rare opportunity to join a leading Agricultural team providing advice to farmers, landlords and tenants of agricultural land, and businesses in the agricultural sector. The team advises owners of landed estates on matters such as property issues, trusts, tax, succession planning and sporting rights. They also advise on diversification, the sale and purchase of farms, rural businesses, and sporting rights. In addition, they team are well known for dealing with agricultural disputes, environmental issues, access issues, entitlements and grants.

Who we're looking for
An experienced Agricultural Solicitor with an established specialism in the agricultural sector and, in particular, agricultural tenancies and associated litigation, as well as regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background knowledge of agriculture/farming (preferably with contacts and experience in the Devon and Somerset area) and with an understanding of farming issues such as single farm payments and farm business tenancies etc. Awareness of new developments affecting farmers and landholders such as solar energy and diversification into trading activities would also be helpful.
