The Global Operations Manager position will be working in a new Software Consulting arm within a wider Professional Services firm. The Software Consulting arm delivers risk consulting software to their client base. Currently, this new division is focusing on strategy, product development and acquisitions. As it stands, no one is covering off operations, which is why they're looking to hire a Global Operations Manager.
You will have 5 main areas of focus within this role:
1. Financial Planning - responsible for budget and financial planning of $70Mn annually for LoB 2. Talent Management - champion existing talent management strategies including performance management, career development reviews, retention and succession strategies 3. Functional responsibilities - work proactively with corporate functional heads for IT, HR and Marketing in delivery of corporate wide releases of new technology, processes or support services. Provide functional support to internal consultants within Risk & Financial Services division. 4. Process and project delivery - work with the business to put in processes that will allow for scalability and project delivery, to suit the business's growth plans for 2012 onwards 5. Technical Infrastructure - responsible for technical infrastructure layer above the corporate IT operating system. This includes all associated software technology, applications, licensing and support of any risk consulting solutions related products and services. Manage contracts with 3rd parties including suppliers, clients and other parties to ensure strong commercial relationships are in place for any dependant product or services in use.
One immediate challenge you will have is to set processes for project delivery and establish a global Helpdesk.
