The role purpose is to ensure that the suppliers to the business are providing the required standard of materials, goods and service to enable our supply chain manufacturing operation to operate effectively and fulfil the quality standards of the business and our customers. Specifics include: • Undertaking Vendor selection, appraisal and control in accordance with Company procedures and ensuring specifications are achieved. • Implement process for the delegation of verification of product to suppliers. Flow down and support Airbus GRESS requirements to identified Suppliers. • Facilitating improvement in supplier FAI reports. Reviewing and continually improving the QMS for Vendor activities. • Driving Lean, process and continuous improvement activities within and through the Supplier chain. Assisting in the Supplier consolidation program. • Leading Vendor implementation of Quality and Manufacturing solutions, improving quality and delivery PPMs. Chairing root cause analysis investigations ensuring effective CAPA are implemented.
Who we're looking for
Technical qualifications to a minimum of BTec National level in Engineering.ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.• A high level of experience within in a Quality environment with exposure to AS9100 and BS EN 13980, ISO9001, ISO14001 standards within an large manufacturing facility, ideally in aerospace operations • Significant proven experience of vendor management in relation to all aspects for the supply of parts and service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be self motivated and confident, combined with proven analytical and problem solving skills •Computer literacy with experience of MS Word, Excel and Outlook being beneficial. Training will be given on other software packages in use.
