The Successful Application Support Analyst will be required to:
• Troubleshoot applications and software for all internal customers.
• To solve application problems and have the ability to analyse and diagnose any given issue.
• Provide training to core application users and co-ordinate with the Human Resources Department to ensure employees are trained on general office applications as required.
• Work closely with the Systems Delivery Team to ensure that solutions go live with full support capability.
• Install, configure and maintain application software on servers and desktops working closely with the Systems Infrastructure Team.
• Produce and maintain IT knowledge-base documentation following Departmental standards.
• To work with external vendors to enhance the service delivery for core, desktop and office applications.
• Deliver advice to end users in the organisation about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively to fulfil business objectives.
• Assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house core software applications training programs and related courseware.
• Identify user training needs through discussion and/or analysis and provide guidance to the Human Resources department on training programmes.
• Assisting Incident and Problem Management teams in root cause determination of issues and input on creating preventative processes and reoccurrence.
• Work within the Service Desk if required to help with Incident Management and Service Delivery.
Who we're looking for
The chosen Application Support Analyst will have the following:
Essential
Ability to understand business needs and develop training material.
Ability to deliver training to various levels of personnel throughout the whole organisational hierarchy
Ability to understand complex application architectures to create and maintain related documentation
Proven in a customer facing application supporting role.
Evidence of working within an ITIL oriented organisation
In-depth knowledge of supporting MS Office 2003 and higher.
Desirable
Fluent in French - written and/or oral communication.
Knowledge of Active 2003 or higher
Knowledge of producing and decoding VBA and complex macros with in MS Office applications
Evidence of supporting and training SAP in a variety of modules
Project work following a best practice discipline such as PRINCE2
Understanding of Autodesk applications - Installation, configuration and support, particularly AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault and Revit
