• To act as Reviewer for a range of Balance Sheet accounts ensuring that reconciliations are operated in accordance with both internal and external policies. • Regularly monitor accounts (frequency determined by nature of account) to ensure reconcilers follow up IAR and BNR in a timely manner. • Provide SME support to reconcilers (when required) to ensure IAR/BNR and complex requests/queries are managed effectively. • Ensure reconcilers provide insightful commentary to key stakeholders as part of AO&R process. • Work with various Audit stakeholders (Internal/External Audit, SOX Business Partners etc) to ensure various audit requirements are met and recommendations are implemented. • Provide an advanced level of specialist knowledge to support complex queries raised by the department's key stakeholders (GCO teams, SBUs, COO, Central Functions and GCM etc). • Ensure reconcilers regularly update key FOM documentation (SOPs, ARDFs etc). • Provide management information to allow the tracking of the team and department performance. • Complete various attestation requirements..
Who we're looking for
• Accounting qualification ACCA or CIMA (Part Qualified). • GCSE Mathematics and English (Grades A to C), or equivalent. • Experience of working within a financial management environment, in a blue chip or financial services organisation. • Education to degree level or equivalent. • The jobholder must have the ability to demonstrate high level of motivation to ensure output is delivered on time and to the highest quality. • There is a strong focus on continuous improvement in this role; hence the jobholder must be able to adapt changing customer demands. • High degree of resource flexibility is required to ensure department outputs are delivered on time, hence there will be requirement for staff to rotate roles at regular intervals and to ensure best practice is adopted/shared in order to meet this goal.
