Programme Manager

You will be the main customer contact for a highly successful and rapidly growing account, winning more new programmes than any of their competitors. You will be responsible for ensuring programmes are delivered on time & to budget, meeting all customer requirements but also generating an acceptable profit for the business. You will be required to motivate and lead cross functional teams and will be a natural influencer. A team player, you will be self motivated and expected to work hard while also appreciating the importance of enjoying your job.
You will lead & facilitate all project activities from cradle to grave, including new product development, process development, layouts, design buy-off, specification, quotations, and final commissioning among others. You will lead customer & supplier liaison and negotiation on task issues, and continue to develop strong customer relationships. You must ensure adherence to a robust program management process throughout all stages of the program, to ensure customer gateways are met. You will be required to liaise with manufacturing departments to ensure satisfactory project handover on completion.
Who we're looking for
You will have first class leadership skills and will engage and motivate teams to perform to the highest of their ability, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally to enable delivery of a successful programme. You will have progressed through projects or manufacturing engineering, either way developing an intimate understanding of the principles of project management, and will be capable of ensuring programmes meet strict targets for timescale and profitability. Commercially astute, you must demonstrate outstanding customer relationship management within the automotive industry. Key traits of your personality will be honesty, openness and a direct style of communication.
