Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Head of Human Resources will play a key role in supporting and delivering the HR business plan during an exciting period of change. The role will enable Dyslexia Action to realise its vision through providing a complete range of proactive & professional Human Resource services to the charity.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:
• Developing & ensuring the implementation of an annual plan for Human Resources.
• Sponsorship of internal communications
• Delivering training & coaching on all aspects of HR policy, people-related issues & procedures.
• Developing & maintaining accessible training & guidance on staff management.
• Supporting managers through the staff journey
• Developing & maintaining a reward structure which is simple, understandable, transparent, fair & which offers opportunities for progression.
• Ensuring that job evaluations & salary reviews are carried out fairly & effectively.
• Representing Dyslexia Action at employment tribunals

Who we're looking for
Dyslexia Action seek a credible and articulate HR professional to join their team. CIPD qualified and with a breadth of operational generalist experience of the HR function at a senior level, the ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with all aspects of employee relations with demonstrable experience of employment tribunals. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of managing staff.
• Experience of managing internal communications & of cultural change management.
• Experience of Talent Management - including introducing an Induction process, appraisal systems & competency frameworks.
• Experience of one to one coaching & mentoring of line managers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence & communicate at all levels within a business.
• Strong commercial acumen
• The ability to lead & work as part of a project team.
• Dyslexia Action are able to consider applications from candidates looking to work on a part time basis (3-4 days per week)

What's on offer
£50,000 + Pension + 40 hour week - Part Time Considered (3-4 days per week-salary pro-rated)
