The primary focus of the role will be to support the Head of Share Plans in ensuring that the Group's share plans are operated efficiently and correctly. The role will involve giving direction to third party service providers and working collaboratively with internaldepartments and professional advisors so that the various employee share plans meet local tax and regulatory requirements.
Impact on the Business/Function
• Ensure that accurate advice, data and timely support is given to businesses to aid their decision making on share related matters e.g. new joiners, leavers, mobile employees, reorganisations
Support the inter company recharge process and the global funding of shares through market purchase
Customers / Stakeholders
• Use knowledge and experience to create tools/ templates/ communication materials for coordinators and employees to continually improve understanding of employee share plans
Leadership & Teamwork
• Establish cross functional relationships within the business unit, with local coordinators, within Group Performance & Reward and with share plan administrator to ensure efficient and consistent operation of share plans globally and resolution of issues
• Work with the Group's external tax advisers to manage the tax position of mobile employees and their employing entities
• Work withBU Finance and third party data reported to ensure that subsidiaries have accurate and appropriate expensing data
• Work with external creative design company and Group Comms to ensure that any Share campaigns are easy to understand and to access
Operational Effectiveness & Control
• Ensure the accuracy of data flows to and from the share plan administrator
• Ensure local HR teams comply with Group Share Plan policy and governance /regulatory requirements
• Contain/reduce areas of risk in the share plan operational processes through effective controls and leverage of data/internal resources/external provider capability
Who we're looking for
• Experience working with employee share plans or in an HR department is desirable
• Experience which demonstrates numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
• Competent excel spread sheeting skills to analyse, compare and present large volumes of data
• Some knowledge of employee taxation / payroll taxation
• Ability to communicate clearly (verbally and in writing)
• Ability to work on own and in a small team (with employees in other functions or third party service providers)
• Ability to respond to changing needs of customers and prioritise workload accordingly
• Ability to analyse problems, identify cause and propose solutions
