You will join a leading IP team which forms part of the wider Technology & Litigation team. The team advises clients in both the UK and Central and Eastern Europe on matters relating to life sciences, consumer products, TMT, banking and finance and energy sectors. You will work closely with the partners as well taking responsibility for certain aspects of the matters. You will be expected to do the following: • Provide advice and assistance to clients on large scale IP litigation and advisory work, including patents and trade marks and particularly those cases with a cross border background. Please see in particular attached list of associate competencies. • Provide efficient professional support for clients and partners • Provide analysis and briefing for clients and partners • Be able to build professional relationships with clients • Support partners in developing business as well as undertaken own BD activities promoting the firm and department. • Conduct research required to support client activity • Achieve target utilisation rates for fee earning time • Arrange and run marketing events such as seminars, events and law-now bulletins • Daily closure of carpe diem entries • Managing/supervising the work of others • Key financial elements including billing management
Who we're looking for
A solicitor with 3 - 5 years PQE. You will have extensive experience in all areas of IP including, patents and SPCs, trade marks, copyright. design right, database rights, confidential information, privilege and consumer protection laws. You will have strong litigation skills and have an excellent academic background. You will be a team player as well as a self starter.
