To be responsible for the provision of expert Compliance advice and guidance primarily to [Claims / SS&P / Personal Lines / Commercial / Transformational Projects], and other parts of the business as required, on UK regulatory matters. Liaise with the regulator and build a strong working relationship. Assist Approved Persons in their preparations for regulatory interactions, and facilitate an open, honest and constructive relationship between the Regulator and the business. Manage and develop a team of Compliance Advice Managers
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance policy content
Maintain the currency and technical accuracy of insurance-specific compliance-related policies, processes and tools, to support the client as an A-rated, standalone insurer.
Compliance advice
Proactively provide expert policy advice and guidance to [Claims / SS&P / Personal Lines / Commercial / Transformational Projects] in relation to FSA regulatory rules, guidance and associated matters. Provide Compliance support material to [Claims / SS&P / Personal Lines / Commercial / Transformational Projects] projects, processes and relevant breach resolution activities and ensure the provision of business focused solutions, so that at all times the advice provided directs the business to remain within the organisation's stated risk appetite.
Regulatory relationships
Manage and facilitate the maintenance of an open, honest and constructive relationship between [Claims / SS&P / Personal Lines / Commercial / Transformational Projects] and the FSA; Facilitate the timely provision of information to and from the FSA; and Brief [Claims / SS&P / Personal Lines / Commercial / Transformational Projects] Approved Persons / ExCo / Board members on relevant regulatory issues/themes prior to all formal engagements with the FSA.
