As Sales Director you will assume complete responsibility for global sales of £25m and through your cross functional team of 16 you will drive revenue growth. At present 70% of the business is International with 90% of this via a distributor network.30% is within the UK so it is to be expected that you will travel for 25% of the time. With a 40% market share in the UK and a huge opportunity for expansion overseas, we are seeking a Sales Director to come and join our success story. As manufacturers of complex cranes, hoists and other capital equipment you will be required to sell high value machinery and kit packs into both OEM's and distributors.
Who we're looking for
With a track record in managing large and complex distributor networks, applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and grow an already lucrative global territory. Management and development of people is critical to the success of this role therefore it is important that you can build personal relationships with distributors. You will evidence successes in managing international sales teams as well as progressing distributor relationships. Applicants should have an understanding of selling capital equipment and the skills required to sell such complex products. With knowledge of either Engineering or Mechanical design, candidates with a second language would also be at an advantage.
