We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven Operations Manager preferably with a background in food or pharmaceuticals to aid the expansion of this innovative FMCG manufacturer in the South West.
This person will be charged with managing all aspects of production, planned maintenance and manufacturing support functions focusing on improving efficiency. This person will be responsible for change management including installing a culture of continuous improvement and good health and safety practice. - Actively involve, coach, manage and develop team to enable the identification and resolution of issues. - Monitor employee performance and give feedback - inform Production Manager as appropriate. - Identify training requirements and update training matrix - ensure all mandatory training / certification is complete. - Schedule manpower to meet production requirements, specifically in relation to overtime, holidays and sickness. - Communicate and role model Continuous Improvement priorities.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for candidates ideally with an FMCG manufacturing background, however, those with process or batch manufacturing background will also be considered. This person will ideally be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of World Class production systems thinking and implementation
- Behavioural Safety Leadership
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools
- Change management experience - Team management experience - Most importantly, we're seeking a passionate, driven individual with fresh ideas to facilitate change, founded upon a sound knowledge of factory management.
