Responsible for providing support to the Head of Engineering, the Electrical Maintenance Manager will have responsibility for approximately 15 people, many working within a shift rota, in a large production environment working within a rotational, large scale production environment. A key aspect of the role will be the development of the diverse range of individuals and teams in order to raise equipment performance standards. The present role is a mix of hand on, technical, support and team management.
The role will require standardisation and implementing best practice across shifts. The successful candidate will also be required to develop TPM and increase OEE.
Working autonomously, you will be required to increase technical understanding and facilitate effective communication between shifts. You will be responsible for monitoring high voltage circulatory, standard electrical and control of plant equipment and working with Siemens S7 technology. A key element of the role includes supporting there-design and re-build of a section of the factory so project management skills are required.
The successful candidate will be required to drive safe working practices and productivity within the general manufacture site based in Liverpool. This will be achieved by ensuring practices exist for critical safety, environmental, quality and productivity-related tasks and communicating these practices effectively to the Engineering staff.
Who we're looking for
Candidates must have:
Strong leadership skills
Competence on programming PLCs (recent)
Siemens S7 knowledge
HV - up to 33kv ideally, minimum 11kv
Experience of managing a team combining traditional electrical technicians and electrical/electronic (PLC) technicians
The role is a management one, but with a high level of PLC control.
